Zikalala: Law enforcement on alert for Black Friday unrest in KZN
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala says law enforcement authorities are on high alert and monitoring activities around Black Friday.

This comes after rumours of more unrest on Friday.
Zikalala gave evidence into the July unrest at the South African Human Rights Commission hearings in Umhlanga.
The commission questioned the premier on the province’s readiness following rumours of another looting during today's nationwide price-slashing event.
Zikalala told the commission that he does not want to be caught unprepared again and has engaged with provincial government officials and police commissioner.
"It is a question of ensuring that we are not complacent. There is nothing that is taken for granted and decision or any measure whether it's a judgment or a decision by government, the security cluster must always analyse it's impact and implications.
"We must be alert of what is in the media in general because clearly social media is used for all sorts of mobilisation."
