Zikalala calls for unity as Ramaphosa gives green light for Misuzulu coronation
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
KZN Premier Sihle Zikalala has welcomed the decision by
President Cyril Ramaphosa to officially recognise King Misuzulu KaZwelithini as
the new king of the Amazulu.
Zikalala says the long-awaited decision brings down the curtain on months of uncertainty over Misuzulu's kingship after the death of King Goodwill Zwelithini last year.
He hopes the announcement restores stability following a legal dispute over the Zulu crown.
Speaking in Ballito last night, Zikalala called on everyone to accept the president's decision and unite behind the King and Zulu royal family.

"We are always waiting for that and the fact that it the president has taken that step. It is fine. Now the process can ensue."
Ramaphosa said the recognition of the king came after consultations with the Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs and Zikalala.
He said in a statement that this is a moment of great significance in the proud and distinguished history of the AmaZulu.
