Zandile Mafe set to undergo another mental evaluation
Updated | By Heart FM
Zandile Mafe, the alleged parliament arsonist, is set to meet an independent psychiatrist for an evaluation of his mental state.
He faces charges related to a fire in Parliament in January last year.
Mafe had previously undergone a mental evaluation at a facility in the Eastern Cape and was found to be unfit to follow court proceedings.
His attorney, Luvuyo Godla, says they have noted the findings but can't comment on them at this stage.

"Definitely, after engaging the expert, then we will be able to come up front. We know this is a matter of public interest, and we believe as well that the public should know."
While appearing in the Western Cape High Court on Thursday, Mafe shouted that he intentionally started the fire.
Godla says these comments should be ignored.
"Mr Mafe has been so impatient that rather than staying here, let me rather be convicted and be given a life sentence as you have heard him say so."
