Yet another KZN officer lost to crime

KwaZulu-Natal police are mourning the death of a colleague who was killed while off-duty in Durban yesterday.
40-year-old Constable Sibongiseni Mnguni was shot while he was inside his car in Isipingo, south of Durban.
Mnguni who was stationed at Folweni SAPS is the second police officer killed in less than a week in the province.

Police spokesperson Thulani Zwane says the officer was found with a wound to the head and was taken to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
''We are appealing to anyone who might have information about the whereabouts of the suspects, to please come forward and give us information that will lead to their arrests.
''The motive for his killing is still unknown at this stage, however the Hawks are investigating,'' he said.
Meanwhile, KZN Community Safety and Liason MEC, Willies Mchunu has strongly condemned the killing of the two officers.
He also expressed great concern at the increase in police murders.
