Workers strike at Toyota supplier enters fifth day
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
A strike by workers affiliated to LIMUSA at Toyota's Tsusho subsidiary has entered its fifth day today - as the union fights for recognition.
The company supplies parts to Toyota's main plant in Prospecton.
According to the Union's Mawonga Madolo, they took the matter to the CCMA, where there was no resolution - forcing them to opt for a protected strike.

As the mother Toyota company has had to suspend a shift yesterday due to the unavailability of parts.
Madolo says they will keep fighting until they are recognised.
"The argument of the company is that they are counting other companies, in other parts of the country and effectively in other parts of Africa. This is what we have found to be quite problematic so we can't implement labour relations Act of South Africa in Zimbabwe for instance," he says.
