A 42-year-old woman is due to appear in the Umhlali Magistrate's Court on Wednesday – facing charges linked to the murder of a six-year-old girl.
The child's body was found by search and rescue teams - in a sugarcane field near Shakaskraal on Tuesday afternoon.

Police were told by the girl's mother, that she'd been snatched from the backseat of her vehicle on Sunday.
It's alleged the mother approached a speed hump near Shayamoya when an unknown man opened the door and grabbed her child – who was fast asleep on the seat.
Police were told the woman's 14-year-old was with them at the time.
A mounted search began for the missing Grade 1 pupil, with locals and farmers joining with their horses.
Paramedic, Paul Herbst who helped find the little girl's body, says it was a horrific, sombre moment.
He says throughout their mission, they had hoped to find the child alive.
"We were all hoping that we'd at least find the little girl alive, unfortunately when you find her deceased, then it obviously breaks you, but at least it's some closure for the family."
