A woman has been airlifted to hospital after sustaining severe injuries to her leg in an accident involving a tractor on a farm in the upper Tongaat area this morning.

IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson, Paul Herbst says the trailer in which three female farm workers had been travelling, rolled over.
Herbst says paramedics immediately called to have the woman airlifted to hospital.
"One of the farm workers sustained traumatic crush injuries to one of her legs. Below the knee was a partial amputation and multiple lacerations above the knee. She will require orthopaedic and vascular surgery," Herbst said.
