Woman mowed down on N2 after surviving rollover

A culpable homicide case is being investigated following an apparent hit and run in Durban in which a woman was killed.

A man and woman were travelling on N2 near Umhlanga when their bakkie overturned on Monday morning.
Paramedics were called to help.

Anneline Hansraj from KZN VIP Protection Services says the pair insisted they were fine and refused medical assistance.
"Our guys did go out there for the vehicle that was coming off the N2 and joining the M41. The vehicle had lost control. When paramedics arrived there, the occupants were fine.
"According to the people that were on the scene, they said the girlfriend was trying to locate her phone that had come out of the vehicle."

It's understood the 28-year woman was knocked down while walking around the scene looking for the phone.
