A security guard is appearing in the KwaDukuza Magistrates Court today for his alleged involvement in cable theft.

He's said to have been among a group of men who stole over R50 000 worth of copper cables on a railway line in Umhlali.
Police spokesperson, Nqobile Gwala says the SAPS received a report about the theft on Saturday morning.
She says officers spotted the suspected thieves emerging from bushes near the railway line - but they ran back in when they saw the cops.
