Woman killed after driving into flood-damaged Ntuzuma bridge

The EFF in eThekwini is calling on KZN Department of Transport to reinforce barriers and warning signs on the yet-to-be-fixed roads that were damaged by last year’s floods.

On Friday night, a car fell into a hole left by a collapsed bridge on a road in Ntuzuma, killing the driver.
It’s understood the woman had just driven from Johannesburg to visit family in Durban for the Easter weekend.
EFF eThekwini leader Themba Mvubu says the family and the community is shocked by the incident.
