Woman dies in Port Shepstone mob justice attack
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Police are investigating a case of murder after a woman was killed in an alleged mob justice attack in Port Shepstone.

Angry community members last week assaulted two women on Nelson Mandela Street after accusing them of card scamming and pickpocketing.
They were filmed as they were being beaten with sticks.

KZN police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says one of the woman, who was admitted to hospital on Thursday, succumbed to her injuries on Monday.
"Although no arrests have been affected as yet, police are following several leads and are appealing to anyone who might have information which can assist in the investigation to contact the police anonymously.
"Community members are discouraged to taking the law into their own hands, because acts of mob justice are criminal and punishable by law."
