Woman critical after being hit by train in PMB

A woman is fighting for her life in hospital after being struck by a train in Pietermaritzburg this morning.
She was hit near the Rushbrook station.
The incident comes just a day after a 15-year-old boy was killed after he was hit while crossing the tracks near Verulam, north of Durban.
Netcare911's Shawn Herbst says police are investigating the exact circumstances leading to the latest incident.
"The patient sustained a head injury and was treated by an advanced life support paramedic. She was transported to hospital for further treatment," he said.
