Woman accused of daughter, stepson's murder in hospital

A northern KZN woman accused of murdering her six-year-old daughter and stepson remains in hospital under police guard.

This after she allegedly tried to take her own life in Ingwavuma in the Umkhanyakude District.
It's understood the 26-year-old left her home with the children on Wednesday.

The police's Nqobile Gwala says she was found crying in a bushy area where the children had been hanged.
"She was then taken to hospital for medical attention and charges of murder were opened. She will appear in court soon once discharged," Gwala said.
