Witness to Shallcross hijacking at gunpoint speaks

Police have managed to recover a vehicle hijacked on St. Wendolins Road in the Shallcross area, outside Pinetown.
Eyewitness, Jennifer Naidoo's told Newswatch the driver was held at gunpoint by two men.
"She reached in her car and tried to get her handbag out of the car and they didn't let her do that. They were pointing a gun at her and pointed the gun at us as we tried to help her which we couldn't because they had a gun. Another vehicle then chased after the car," she says.
The police's Thulani Zwane says the victim was not hurt in the ordeal.

"The police officer that was off duty followed the suspects and the vehicle was recovered. No shots were fired and no one was injured in the incident," he says.
He says the suspects are still on the run.
