At a press Covid-19 conference, this afternoon - Ghebreyesus said the WHO and Unicef were launching an emergency appeal to boost Polio and measles vaccinations.
"It is important that all children receive the life-saving vaccine that is already available. This is a normal call to action for all donors to stay their post and not turn their backs on the poorest and less marginalised children."
He believes global Polio eradication remains achievable.
