Westville dad, Gary Mackay to be laid to rest today

Westville North father, Gary Mackay will be laid to rest today in Umhlanga.
The 36-year-old was killed while trying to protect his family during an armed home invasion earlier this month.
Mackay left his wife and two daughters in an upstairs bedroom and went to investigate after hearing a noise at their Duncan Drive home.
Mackay was shot when three suspects entered his Duncan Drive home on Saturday.
A mass community memorial has also been held in Westville for him.

Last week, a walk was held to not only remember victims of crime in the community but also highlight the importance of safety.
There have been four deaths in the suburb over the last year - according to Westville North Community Project and Neighbourhood Watch.
A Go Fund Me Campaign has been launched to raise funds for the Mackay family.
