Well-known Durban businessman arrested for alleged World Cup corruption

A Durban businessman, a senior police officer have been arrested on Friday afternoon in connection with a 2010 FIFA World Cup scandal.
The NPA’s Investigating Directorate says it's secured arrest warrants for two other people. One of them is believed to be in Cape Town, while the whereabouts of the fourth suspect are unknown at this stage.
It says they are facing multiple counts of fraud and corruption involving R47 million.

The directorate says the arrests pertain to manipulation of the tender system in KZN SAPS.
They are expected to appear in court this afternoon.
