Residents of Umlazi's G section are reeling in shock following two attacks by robbers this weekend that left four people dead and eight others wounded.

Police say in the first incident, the gang stormed a tavern yesterday morning - and robbed patrons of their cellphones and money before opening fire and injuring eight people.
Officers were then called by neighbours to a robbery in progress at a house in the area.

She says police returned fired - killing the suspect. Inside the house - the officers found the bodies of two women who had been shot - one of them in the head.
"Two people who were shot were brothers. Three of them died at the crime scene, and one died on arrival at the hospital. When police arrived, one of the suspects was raping the surviving victim," she said.
Mbele says they're hopeful the remaining suspects will be arrested as they are known in the area.
