Ebrahim was found guilty of the kidnapping and murder of Durban boy, Miguel Louw.

Ten-year-old Miguel disappeared from outside his Sydenham school one afternoon in July 2018.

Miguel's aunt, Tasneem dos Santos says they hope he'll be handed a lengthy sentence.

"We were hoping for a sentence today, obviously we didn't get what we expected as yet. I think that there is sufficient evidence but we are still trusting God for a strict sentence."

The NPA's Natasha Kara says the State hopes sentencing in the Durban High Court will conclude this week.

"We reminded the presiding officer of the evidence that was led during the trial process which was obviously the doctor's and medical report as well as that of the entomologist. The matter was adjourned to Friday and provisionally a date for sentencing will be set."
