Miguel Louw's killer to be sentenced today

The man convicted of the kidnapping and murder of Sydenham schoolboy, Miguel Louw is due to hear his fate this morning in the Durban High Court.
Mohamed Ebrahim was found guilty of killing the 10-year-old boy last year.
Ebrahim's attorney, Jay Naidoo had previously asked for a postponement he wanted to obtain a report from the Social Development Department on the personal circumstances of the accused.
He said he believed the social workers’ report should be considered in the sentencing process.

Senior state prosecutor, Calvin Singh also submitted in three victim impact statements from Miguel’s mother, grandmother and sister.
Ten-year-old Miguel disappeared from outside his Sydenham school one afternoon in July 2018.
He was last seen alive in Ebrahim's company at a local restaurant.
He was found dead two months later near Ebrahim's home in Phoenix.
The state believes that Ebrahim killed Miguel in a revenge attack on his mother, he claimed to have shared a relationship with Raylene Louw.
