Several areas have either been without supply or have had low pressure since the beginning of the week.

On Thursday, the city said it had identified the problem with the main pipeline on the Northern Aqueduct.

It said teams were attending to it and that reservoirs were starting to fill up.

But many residents and businesses say there's still nothing coming out of their taps.

Ward 35 Councillor Nicole Bollman joined Friday’s march and said there were no eThekwini senior officials at City Hall to receive their memorandum of grievances.

"So, we just talking to the guy that runs the mayor's office and the guy that runs the speaker’s office. They don't have any operational knowledge, and they are just taking down the grievances, which is frustrating the residents that are here."

Bollman said they also want all the details of the meetings that were held this week.

"So basically, it is to be given the minutes of the meeting that was held Saturday. Then it was that between the beaches being closed, the taxi strike on Tuesday.

"Then the water outage that was affecting the whole of the northern region, which is including the hotels, the hospitals. It’s just again highlighting the lack of governance and leadership that the city has."
