WATCH: Tongaat residents threaten to take water protest to N2
Updated | By Sandile Bhengu
Angry residents of Tongaat are threatening to take their water protest to the N2 if nothing is done to improve supply.

The community of Hambanathi and surrounds barricaded roads and torched one of the water tanks on Thursday morning.
They are demanding water in their taps and say the water provided by tankers is making them sick.
Water supply in Tongaat was severely impacted when the April floods damaged the local water treatment works.
Work is currently underway to rebuild the facility.
But's that's been little comfort for some residents.

Resident and activist Teddy Naidoo says they are appealing to eThekwini Municipality, the mayor and president to hear their cries.
"We, the Tongaat residents, have endured far too much in the past four months of the water crisis. Our basic human rights are being violated as citizens of eThekwini Municipality.
"We residents of Tongaat do not have drinkable water, in access of 40% of the Tongaat community since the floods in our province that was declared a national disaster. To add to that, we had deaths and injuries due to water shortages."
