Durban motorists planning to travel on the M4 in Genazzano in Tongaat might want to consider another route as there is an ongoing protest which has resulted in both carriageways being blocked.
The demonstration is believed to be over learner transport.
eThekwini Metro police spokesperson, Parboo Sewpersad says some children haven’t been able to make it to school as a result.

"The road is still closed. The taxis are blocking the children from going to school and transported to school, I believe the service providers at the Department of Transport has been allocated the service to transport these children and the taxis are blocking those people from picking them up and taking them to school."
The South African National Taxi Council in the province says they are currently in a meeting to resolve the matter.
