WATCH: Suspected arson sees clothing store ablaze in Durban CBD

A clothing store was on fire in the Durban CBD on Friday in authorities suspect was another case of looting.

Firefighters were trying to contain the flames at the business on Joe Slovo Street.
eThekwini Fire says they suspect the blaze is a result of looting.

The department’s Bheki Hadebe has urged motorists to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
"When we arrived, most of the building where the fire was already intense and the roller doors were already damaged and opened.
"So it does look like it was looters that stared the fire. No injuries."
Avoid Joe Slovo Street/Field Street (between Monty Naicker Road and West Street due to a building fire, Durban Central.
