WATCH: Stellenbosch student shouts at Helen Zille
Western Cape Premier Helen Zille has had to be escorted from a #feesmustfall student protest at Stellenbosch University today, shortly after students agreed she could walk them "as long as she listened to them".
But the crowd turned on her quickly, shouting: "Voetsek, you aren't here for us! Leave!"
Zille was whisked away in a police van shortly after.
Meanwhile, a collection for university workers who lost out on pay during the protest closures was held at the University of Cape Town this morning.
A bucket was taken around as academics at the university marched in support of #feesmustfall and for answers from the executive.
Reporters Thulani Gquirana and Jenna Etheridge say the donations are for the outsourced workers - who are not on the university's payroll.

The academics in their red and black gowns thanked the students for supporting their march and joked that they would do the singing on Friday.
The march by the Academics Union and the Black Academics Caucus was to deliver a list of demands to UCT's management.
They want an interdict granted against students on Monday withdrawn; an immediate policy on the circumstances in which police would be allowed on campus; and answers from the UCT executive by October 27 on who sought the interdict.
''Holding government to account for its role in precipitating this crisis must be an important component of that engagement,'' their joint statement read.
They also want answers on what will happen now that exams meant for next week were cancelled.
The university's Vice-Chancellor Max Price is among the vice-chancellors joining President Jacob Zuma for a crisis meeting at the Union Buildings in Pretoria today.
Students have rejected a compromise offer that fees be capped at 6%, have insisted on a 0% increase, and are angry at Price.
Price's son Ilan was among the 29 students arrested during protests in Cape Town.
Max Price said yesterday that the university was working on getting the interdict withdrawn. He said that it had been sought to ensure access to the campus and safety.
