WATCH: Motorists urged to avoid N3 Peter Brown off-ramp as mop-up starts
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
The Road Traffic Inspectorate has advised motorists to stay away from the N3 near Pietermaritzburg's Peter Brown off-ramp for their own safety.

This follows a serious collision on Thursday night involving a truck and four cars.
One person was killed, and two others were injured.
The RTI's Zinhle Mali says they are waiting for the arrival of Drizit, which is a clean-up crew that specialises in the removal of chemicals.
She says a chemical product that spilled from the truck has been identified as dangerous.

"We are waiting for Drizit to give us the go-ahead in terms of opening the road. The backlog of traffic is about 12km from Peter Brown to Cedera. "
Mali says motorists can make use of other routes.
"We urge motorists to stay away from the freeway and take the R103 from Nottingham Road and proceed down to the R103 Old Howick Road to Commercial Road, now called Chief Albert Luthuli to Alan Paton and join the freeway by Market Road."
Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
