WATCH LIVE: Ramaphosa updates the nation on COVID-19 measures
Updated | By Newswatch
President Cyril Ramaphosa will give us an update on government's strategy to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.
The Presidency says he's held several meetings with Cabinet and the National Coronavirus Command Council.
It's thought he'll make an announcement on schools.
There have been calls, including from the One South Africa Movement led by Mmusi Maimane - for schools to be shut at least until after the COVID-19 peak.
Maimane and his movement lost their initial challenge in the North Gauteng High Court earlier this month.
They've applied to the Constitutional Court for leave to appeal the decision.
