Schools announcement expected from Ramaphosa tonight

The Educators Unions of South Africa (EUSA) strongly believes all schools will indeed be re-closed from Friday.
This comes ahead of the Thursday night's address by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Education officials have been in back-to-back meetings over the possible re-closures.
Cabinet was meant to finalise their decision on whether or not to close classrooms yesterday.
Numerous teachers unions, including EUSA, met with the basic education department on Tuesday, pleading with them to close classrooms and protect the lives of learners and staff.

EUSA General Secretary, Siphiwe MpunGose says their reliable sources from the last government meeting, indicates their pleas have indeed been heard.
"We are expecting the president to announce school closures, that is our expectation as the Educators Unions of South Africa. We have been calling for the schools to not reopen since April.
"We are expecting that from these back-to-back meeting the will announce the school closure," says MpunGose.
