LOOK: Take a tour into KZN’s new state-of-the-art tech school

Provincial government together with the KZN Education Department have officially opened a new state-of-the-art school in La Mercy, north of Durban.
The Anton Lembede Mathematics, Science and Technology Academy School of Innovation and Leadership took in it’s first group of grade 8 learners this morning.
The technology-focused school hand-picked learners, with exceptional results in maths, science and technology.
eThekwini Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda says the school is named after a struggle icon who was an epitome of education.

"We believe this is the most appropriate way of paying homage to a leader who was passionate about education a leader who made an immense contribution to the education of our people."
He says as a founding president of the ANC Youth League, Lembede must be rejoicing today to see that his efforts of improving lives of the black people, in Africa in particular, through education is being realised
Family spokesperson Sibongile Lembede. "In short I can say that Anton Lembede was a proud African, a dynamic thinker, a philosopher, a teacher, a multilinguist and an intellectual giant."
