WATCH: Chaos breaks out at DUT, protesters scattered by stun grenades

Police have set off a stun grenade resulting in thousands of protesting DUT students scattering.

They have been demonstrating since this morning after being unable to register as many flocked to the institution to make use of walk-in registrations.

Many have flocked to the institution yesterday hoping to register for the current academic year.
But DUT has blamed unauthorised social media posts for the large crowds.
The university has since suspended its on-campus support for online registrations until further notice
