A cash-in-transit vehicle ploughed into a group of street vendors, leaving eight people injured on Joseph Nduli Street in Durban.

While it's not clear what caused the crash, reports from the scene are that the cash van came under attack by robbers in the vicinity of the Victoria Street Market.
The vehicle collided with a minibus taxi before it veered off the road and onto the pavement.

He says Joseph Nduli, formerly Russell Street, is a no-go zone.
"The is an active crime scene. Paramedics are treating nine patients on the scene and will be transported to Durban hospitals with injuries ranging from moderate to serious."
