eSwatini's most wanted fugitive caught in Durban

Durban North police have in their custody a Swazi fugitive wanted by Interpol for a string of robberies and murder.

eThekwini metro cops arrested the man in the Durban CBD over the weekend.
Authorities want to charge him in a Swazi police official's murder case.
The municipality's Gugu Sisilana says three suspects were identified during the Durban team's investigation.

One person matched the description.
"A description and warrant of arrest documents were supplied to the metro police by Interpol with a list of suspected locations within the Durban Central Business District,” says Sisilana.
"Swaziland's most wanted fugitive was apprehended outside a Shoprite store on Dr Pixley KaSeme Street in Durban. According to Interpol's report, the apprehended perpetrator is one of three most wanted suspects by Swaziland's law enforcement agencies and has been on the run since December 2021."
The metro police are continuing to investigate other cases and are following leads.
