Police have arrested a total
of 67 people following the rape of eight women in Krugersdorp on Thursday.

It's said a group of 22 were shooting a music video when a group of armed men attacked, firing several shots in the air and ordering everyone to lie down.
They then proceeded to rob the victims of their belongings while also taking turns raping the eight women in nearby bushes.
Following that incident, a multi-disciplinary operation was carried out on Friday which resulted in the arrests, as well as the shooting of three suspects.
Two of the suspects died while a third is recovering in hospital.

"It looks like they are foreign nationals, but basically, they are Zama Zamas,” said Police Minister Bheki Cele.
“Those people who raid old mines, they have left that job to rob houses including this terrible incident that they have done.
There were more than 60 were arrested for contravening the Immigration Act and being in possession of unlicensed firearms, explosives and suspected stolen items belonging to the victims of the earlier rape.
