Warrant of arrest issued for MUT student Xolile Mbatha's killer

A warrant of arrest has been issued for a 28-year-old man in connection with the murder of Mangosuthu University of Technology student Xolile Mbatha.

The 23-year-old was stabbed to death at a student residence at South Beach in Durban in July.
At the time, police said the Electrical Engineering student was killed by a man she knew.

KZN police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says they are trying to establish the whereabouts of Bongani Mlambo.
"We appeal to anyone who may have information regarding the whereabouts of the wanted suspect attached in the picture to contact the investigating officer Detective Sergeant Xulu on 031 367 4012/ 082 720 9592."
