MUT student stabbed to death at campus residence

A female student at the Mangosuthu University of Technology has been stabbed to death.

Police recovered the 23-year-old woman's body from a campus residence along South Beach in Durban.
KZN police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says she had suffered stab wounds after an apparent domestic dispute with a fellow student, who ran away from the Mahatma Gandhi Road premises on Sunday morning.

"It is alleged that the victim was killed by a known suspect following a domestic dispute.
"She was declared dead at the scene and a case of murder was opened for investigation at Point police station."
No arrests have been made.
