Voting underway in Umsunduzi's Ward 33

The IEC says voting is going smoothly in Ward 33 of the Msunduzi Municipality.
The IEC's Kate Bapela says the by-election is taking place there after the councillor position was left vacant following the resignation of the DA incumbent.
"Today, there are by-elections in the Msunduzi Municipality as a result of the resignation of a councillor. Our voting stations opened today at 7am and they will close at 9pm once voting has taken place," she says.

The ANC, IFP, EFF, DA and ACDP are contesting the by-election.
