Verulam woman electrocuted in her home

A 43-year-old woman has been electrocuted in her home in Verulam, north of Durban.

Reaction Unit South Africa's Prem Balram says she suffered burns to her face and legs.

It is understood the woman had been carrying an urn that fell while half full."Neighbours said a young girl came running up to them saying her mother had collapsed in the bathroom. They quickly ran to the home," he said.

Balram says the woman showed no signs of life by the time emergency services reached the scene.
