Verulam child murder case postponed to February
Updated | By Bernadette Wicks
A man charged with raping and murdering his 7-year-old neighbour, will return to the dock early next year.
The little girl was found clinging to life outside the housing complex she and the accused both lived in - near Verulam - back in June.
She died a short while afterwards. The man was arrested at the scene and has since been denied bail.
He made a brief appearance before the Verulam Magistrate's Court yesterday.
Spokesperson for the NPA in KZN, Natasha Kara says the case will be heard on 28 February for further investigation.
Kara says he will remain in custody.
