Urgent investigation launched for emptied water tankers
COGTA MEC, Sipho Hlomuka says he expects a detailed report from the Zululand District Municipality after a video emerged online showing a water tanker being emptied on the side of the road.
The department's Senzo Mzila has noted that the incident in Phongola was especially shocking, as Zululand's still recovering from a crippling drought.

"The circumstances surrounding the video that is on social media platforms that shows a driver of a water tanker dumping water or dumping what looks like fresh water on the side of the road."
the MEC has called upon the municipality to investigate this incident and provide him with an explanation on this issue.
