Paramedics, metro and SAPS officials are on scene where a heavy goods truck ploughed through the intersection at Richmond Road causing it to collide with another truck and a minibus taxi.

Authorities say they suspect the brakes on the heavy goods truck had failed causing it to crash into another truck and a taxi that had been commuting passengers.
