UniZulu student residence reopened following protests

The University of Zululand has this morning opened its doors to students at residences at its Kwadlangwezwa campus.
Violent student protests erupted there last week. Students were up in arms over meal and travel allowances.
In its latest statement, UniZulu says the unrest compelled management to suspend academic activities and order an immediate evacuation of the campus.
As a further security measure, the University also deactivated the student cards of all students at the campus.

Students from residences will be allowed onto campus today.
While other students will return tomorrow. Students will have to reactivate their cards. Management says there will be high security at the campus and all its facilities.
