Uncle and niece arrested for murder

KZN police have arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of a north coast man three months ago.

A 25-year-old woman and her 38-year-old uncle were nabbed in Empangeni.
SAPS spokesperson Thembeka Mbele says one of the suspects was found in possession of a laptop belonging to the victim.
Mbele says the pair will appear before a magistrate in Empangeni today.

"On the 8th of March, a 54-year-old Velenkosini Mpungose was found dead in his home in Nseleni Township. He was tied with cables on his hands as well as the legs," said Mbele.
His laptop was also stolen.
The murder case was eventually opened at Empangeni Police Station for further investigations.
The motive of the killing is unknown.
