uMfolozi authorities vow to support family of slain woman

Authorities in uMfolozi say the family of a northern KZN woman who was stabbed to death in an apparent murder-suicide will be provided with the necessary support.

It's understood Sinenhlanhla Mbokazi was killed in her home in KwaMbonambi in the early hours of of Tuesday morning.
Her family found a knife and screwdriver, believed to be the murder weapons, in the house.
Mbokazi's body was discovered later at Embabe Reserve.
Her 31-year-old partner was also found dead after allegedly taking his own life.

Municipal Manager Langelihle Jili has condemned the killing.
"An occurrence like this is extremely unsettling and should be criticized. His worship, the mayor Xolani Bhengu, says he cannot allow such situation to occur in the community. He has condemned the man's awful behaviour and cowardness as he also took his life and the fact that he will not face the necessary punishment for such a painful deed."
Police are investigating a murder case and an inquest docket.
