Umdloti woman critically injured after fall from balcony
Investigations are underway to determine the circumstances that led to a 20-year-old woman falling over a balcony at a pub in Umdloti, north of Durban.
The woman remains in a critical condition in hospital after plunging five metres on Saturday.
Emergency services were called out to the Bush Tavern pub, along the Selection Beach stretch, just before midnight.
"She sustained life-threatening injuries including a fractured pelvis. Advance Life Support Intervention was used to stabilise her. The patient was taken through to hospital for further care," Crisis Medical's Kyle van Reenan said.
