Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The case against two robbery suspects whose pursuit involved a hostage situation in Umbumbulu has been postponed for bail.

Police say a gang of five robbed a cellphone store in Cato Ridge on Tuesday before speeding off in a getaway car towards Umbumbulu, south of Durban.
The driver of the vehicle lost control and police caught one suspect.
Three fled into the bushes while another ran into a house and took a woman and her two young grandchildren hostage.
They were rescued after a hostage negotiator intervened.

Police nabbed two more men at Umlazi's Glebelands Hostel on Wednesday.
One of the four men in custody appeared in court on Wednesday, while two stood before a Durban magistrate on Thursday.
"Two men appeared on charges of robbery with aggravating circumstances, attempted murder, kidnapping and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. Their third accomplice is currently in hospital. The matter was remanded to 11 February," said the NPA's Natasha Kara.
