UKZN Westville campus staff attacked, property damaged

Staff has been attacked and some buildings and other property damaged at the University of KwaZulu-Natal's Westville campus.

The university spokesperson Normah Zondo says they received reports of the incident on Tuesday of a group of people throwing stones.
She says a car was also set alight.

"The university condemns this criminal behaviour in the strongest possible terms. This behaviour does not have any place in our society and especially in institutions of higher learning.
"Risk management services and working together with the SAPS and the university appointed private security will continue to monitor the situation."
