Ugu, municipal manager reach settlement
Ugu has parted ways with its municipal manager, DD Naidoo.
He had been suspended following allegations of fraud and corruption.
A forensic investigation commissioned by the Cooperative Governance Department last year revealed fraud, irregular expenditure and unauthorised expenditure at the district municipality.
Municipal spokesperson, France Zama says the municipality has agreed to pay Naidoo to six months salary.

"The municipality this week concluded the matter whereby we have reached a settlement. The municipality will be relieving Mr Nadioo of his contract with the municipality.
"The municipality is now looking to make appointments for a new municipal manage who will ensure there is stability in the administration of the municipality. "
