UCDP pays tribute to late founder, Lucas Mangope
Updated | By Portia Cele
The United Christian Democratic Party says its founder and former leader, Lucas Mangope has left a lasting legacy for the party and the people of the now North West province.

Mangope died after a long illness yesterday. He was 94-years-old.
Party president, Sipho Mfindisi says the former Bophutatswana leader was a stern administrator but kind at heart.
"He wouldn't mind to ensure that when there was a funeral elsewhere, he would make sure that his tribesmen attend in a different village - not necessarily his own - to show support that he is always there with the people.
"He will definitely be missed as he has been missed all along since 1994, since being changed from the political landscape," he says.
