Ramaphosa pays tribute to poet, 'Bra Willie' Kgositsile
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
ANC President, Cyril Ramaphosa, has described renowned academic Professor Keorapetse 'Bra Willie' Kgositsile as a participant and a struggle icon.
He had been reading his eulogy in Johannesburg during the late activists funeral service earlier.
Ramaphosa said we must do more to preserve the works done by the likes of Bra Willie who used their skills to fight injustice.
"His passing compels us to ask some important questions of ourselves. We need to ask ourselves whether we are doing enough to recognise and celebrate artists amongst us.
"What can we do to ensure their stories and their lives do not vanish. We must celebrate these artists while they are still alive," he says.
