A warning has been issued for heavy sea swells and strong winds along the KwaZulu-Natal coast.

The National Sea Rescue Institute says the inclement weather will make its way to KZN's coastline from Saldanha Bay in the next 24 hours.
Spokesperson Craig Lambinon says a level 2 weather warning was published after a cold front made landfall in the Western Cape's south-west region on Friday.

He has urged people to be cautious.
"We are appealing to peddlers, sailors and boaters to be cautious. Wear your life jacket but preferably don't launch to go to sea unless it is absolutely necessary. We are also appealing to shoreline anglers, bathers and hikers hiking along of the coastline to be cautious."
The South African Weather Services says there's another warning for the province.
"Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over western KZN today [Friday], which may result in reduced visibility, damage to property, damage to vegetation, air and water pollution, and loss of human and/or animal life."
